Coaching
The path to real confidence
is kinder than you think
What would you
pour yourself into
if only you
felt you could?
I’m Heather Bailey,
Master Coach with thirty years in women’s health behind me.
When something’s cracking open, it is really helpful to have a kind and skillful ally as you create a new path.
As a midwife, I was at the side of hundreds of women giving birth, and I know the courage and kindness that every big transition takes.
Now I work with women who are tired of being stuck in the same loop - the guilt, the resentment, the constant second-guessing - and want to learn how to embrace this one precious life.
Together we discover what truly lights you up, and what you could release to be able to move forward. And we build a kinder, braver mindset that moves you into the driver’s seat.
No matter what stage of life we are in, most of us still have an internal voice that says:
Don’t make a fuss
They need me more
I can rest later
And when you are giving yourself to something you care about deeply — putting yourself last can feel right. Right up until your own wellbeing is nowhere to be found.
And when things are changing, it gets louder.
I can’t let them down
I just need to work harder
I should be able to fix this
Here’s what I want you to know: there is another way to power a big joyous life. With a new kind of calm confidence. Where you get to care for others and yourself.
And that voice that has kept you stuck - it can be worked with. Met with compassion. Understood. Answered. Until a new kinder, truer voice emerges.
That’s the actual work of coaching.
“You don’t have to blow up your life — you can find your way back to the centre of it”

What actually happens
in coaching?
We talk. In person or in a video call. Usually for 50-60 minutes.
You bring what’s going on. A theme, a pattern, a feeling you keep landing in.
I’m sick of feeling guilty all the time …
I am irritated by every little thing they do …
I watch myself keep saying yes, when I really need to say no …
We look at what the pattern is costing you, and what it’s getting in the way of. You get a new, wider perspective, and often see things you hadn’t seen before.
We slow the moment down. The moment the phone rings and your stomach drops before you answer it.
What’s the thought underneath that feeling?
And then we go a layer deeper. Underneath those thoughts and feelings, there is usually a belief that you have never said out loud but is actually driving the whole pattern.
If I was a good daughter I would ….
If I was a good leader, I would always know ….
I shouldn’t be so needy …
And then you get to ask: is this actually what I believe now? Is it useful? Is it the whole truth? Is anything missing?
Whatever the answer, you regain a sense that you are choosing what matters most. You build a new set of beliefs that are true and useful for who you are now. And that starts to build a new sense of possibilities.
Between sessions, you practise noticing. Catching the moment the feeling shows up. Giving yourself a beat before you respond. Being kind to yourself when you fall into the old pattern. That’s where the change starts to take hold - in real time.

BRAVEKind story #1
I want to get back in the driver's seat
I’m trapped in a cycle of staying late, checking emails into the night, and unrealistic workloads.
I dread saying no, and I can’t stop obsessing over every little decision.
I’m sick of the toll that it is taking on me and my family.
6 sessions later:
I’m moved from being a worker bee to a strategic leader who considers “what’s important here”. I’m back in the driver’s seat and confidently able to back myself to prioritise what really matters.
I’m spending way less time going over and over things, and am more and more able to appreciate progress.
I’m able to be at my best at home and at work, and I consistently prioritise my own and my family’s wellbeing.
THE ROCKS WE STAND ON
We don’t separate mind from body and meaning. The work here is holistic - your thinking, your body, your values, all of it. All of you is welcome.
We don’t do broken. You’re not a problem to fix. I’m here to draw out your strengths and superpowers, and activate what’s strong and true already.
We don’t sacrifice on the altar of the mission. You can do work that matters and stay whole doing it.
We don’t mistake over-functioning for excellence. Carrying everything, trying to do it all, and never switching off — that quietly erodes you and doesn’t build reciprocal, trusting relationships. I will support you to build boundaries that help you - and the people you care about - to thrive.
We don’t run on “should”. Using “should” as your main engine is a fast track to burnout. Let’s reconnect with what you genuinely want, and let that do the driving.
We don’t just talk. Real change means action. And I’m in your corner in between sessions, when the plan meets real life.
Our approach is based on evidence of what helps women to feel happier and healthier. The tools here come from research on women’s health and human flourishing, and the cutting edge of mind-body neuroscience. And from thirty years of lived experience supporting women to take charge of their lives.

BRAVEKind story #2
I am giving so much - why do I feel unappreciated and irritated all the time?
I feel let down by people who don’t seem to care about me the way I care about them.
Resentment is starting to build, and I am frustrated that others don’t seem to recognise how much I’m giving.
6 sessions later:
I’m able to pause when someone makes a request, and consider whether it’s something I want to do, and when I could have the capacity to do it.
I know that I am able to stay in relationship with people, and communicate that I care about them, without having to avoid conflict or disappointment.
My relationships feel more balanced and authentic, and I notice that I am enjoying them more.
The Skills We Build
Getting clear on what matters to you now. Your values, your strengths, what you actually want. Most of us are running on an outdated list, maybe one that was never ours in the first place.
Noticing. Catching the connection between between your feelings and your internal dialogue, and how you respond.
Finding the belief underneath. Every stuck pattern runs on a belief you may never have said out loud. You’ll learn to find it, question it, and build beliefs that are true and useful for the life you want.
A kind inner voice. Developing kindness toward yourself in the toughest moments, when life is at it’s messiest, interrupts the shame that keeps us from embracing our authentic selves. You will learn to meet a hard moment as an ally rather than a judge.
Holding your ground in relationship. Staying close to people you love while seeing things differently, wanting different things. Saying the true thing. Letting someone be disappointed without abandoning yourself.
I will introduce you to tools that you can incorporate into your daily life. You develop your new capacity to notice and respond differently in real time, between sessions, in the situations that actually matter.

"Bravery doesn't have to be loud or dramatic - it can be quiet, consistent action. I gained deeper confidence and clarity, unearthing situations I needed to change that I hadn't fully seen or felt ready to address before."

"I really appreciated the respect, warmth and empathy you showed. I also liked how you challenged me, gently, with my thinking and feelings. I went back to work feeling more confident."

Something has to crack open
before something
new can grow
Our growthiest moments are when we feel most exposed...
Sometimes you chose the new ground — the bigger role, the new relationship, the fresh start. Sometimes it moved under you — the restructure, the ending, the body changes.
Maybe the things that used to give you a strong sense of meaning and identity aren’t taking up as much space now - and you’re wondering what will fill those gaps.
Maybe you’re juggling work and caregiving, and can’t remember the last time anyone asked how you are.
It’s more than just getting older. These are major developmental shifts. Times when our sense of who we are is in flux.
You might be feeling the tenderness of starting to tell the truth to yourself about the gap between how things have been, and how you want things to be. And you’re feeling ready to do something about it.
You want to move forward feeling a stronger sense of self, drop the constant self-criticism, and feel excited about what’s coming. Without the pressure to get it right all the time. Without feeling like a ping-pong ball trying to meet everyone else’s expectations.
You want to feel truly at home in your body and mind.
The desire is growing in you.
That’s what I’m here for.
BRAVEKind story #3
I never want to lose myself again
I’m standing on my own two feet for the first time. I’m determined to grow and thrive in this next chapter of my life, and I don’t want to live my life according to someone else’s rules, or abandon myself to please someone else.
I don’t even know yet what I truly want for myself, what I like about myself, and how to feel truly confident in my own skin.
Four sessions later:
I am feeling exuberantly myself. I have replaced my old beliefs, that I am only okay and acceptable when someone else says that I am, with a new sense of okay-ness just as I am.
I’ve developed a new sense of my own capability, and am taking action to create a sovereign life. I may choose to share this journey with another, but I know now that I don’t need to give up the driver’s seat of my own life just to secure a relationship.
I’ve learned that I can face anything, with courage and kindness. And I know that I’m not alone in this journey.
